Scientists have found a star, close to the black hole

U.S. researchers have found in the central part of the galaxy the star S0-102, which is very close to the supermassive black hole Sgr A *. At these sites, scientists want to test the validity of the theory of relativity.
Around a black hole turn two stars, and their maturity shorter than the length of a person's life. The study of the stars S0-102 and S0-2 will reveal the actual geometry of space and time near a black hole. These observations can be passed only by observing one star. Astronomers have for 17 years watching the supermassive black hole Sgr A *, which is located in the center of the Milky Way. In recent years, scientists have observed this object using the Keck telescope, which is located in Hawaii. They analyzed how to change the position of some light near the black hole on the pictures taken during the period c 2004 to 2012. Then, these data were used to calculate the orbits of stars that revolve around Sgr A *.
So they found the star S0-102, which was closest to the black hole. It makes one revolution around the black hole in 11.5 years.
The fact that the stars can so close is near the black hole - is unique, because the vicinity of black holes in the principles do not create a "comfortable" living conditions for the stars, but it turns out that they are not so hostile to the stars, as previously thought.
Close proximity to the black hole should lead to interesting astrophysical effects - a curvature of space and time, which describes the theory of general relativity Eystein.
In this example of star scientists want to check the validity of this theory in 2018, when the S0-2 comes closer to the maximum Sgr A *.
