"The global average surface temperature in September was 0.67 degrees Celsius above the long term average for the entire twentieth century. It puts together a month from September 2005 to first place in the temperature over 133 years of meteorological observations," - said the scientists.
September 2012 in the Northern Hemisphere, the average temperature yielded a record month in 2005, while in the southern hemisphere record heat also kept for 1997.
"Records of heat have been installed in the high northern latitudes, for example, in Eastern Siberia, and in Venezuela, French Guiana, in northern Brazil. Warmer average was almost all over South America, western Australia, central and eastern Europe. Below average temperatures were in the Russian Far East, in parts of southern Africa and parts of China, "- said in a statement.
September in the top three warmest in the history of national meteorological observations, for example, in Hungary, Australia, Argentina and Japan. In the UK last month, on the contrary, was the coolest since 1994, as the average temperature was about 0.7 degrees Celsius below the historical average for the years 1981-2010.
Earlier, the Russian Hydrometeorological Center said that in September 2012 in Russia, one of the five warmest in history of meteorological observations - since 1891.
